Eligibility

Support will be considered by Life's for Living if the following criteria are met:

  1. The person must have a disability
  2. The person must have funding from a funding body for example through Disability SA or have the financial capacity to pay on a fee for service basis.

But what if the person doesn’t have funding?

If the person doesn’t have funding Or If they are not sure if they are eligible
Then following steps can be taken:

  1. Contact Disability SA
  2. If it is found that the person is not eligible for funding then in certain circumstances families are able to pay for support services themselves. If this is the case Life's for Living can develop a budget so that families have some idea of the costs involved in self-funded support. Self-funded services are becoming more common.
  3. If both of the above options are unavailable to families then the next stage is to lobby for funds. Contact Federal or State Members of Parliament and/or contact Family Advocacy
