Philosophies

A person with a disability has the same rights, dignities and intrinsic worth as any other person.

Each person has the same right to development, physically, emotionally, socially, psychologically and spiritually.

Each person has the right to determine and receive personal support which enables them to experience continuing personal development, security, options, choice and control over their life styles.

Each person has the right to live in their own community in a healthy environment both physically and psychologically and to decide how much involvement they want with the community around them.

Each person has the right to work, live, recreate and share responsibilities with others in the community.

Each person has the right to expect that the community at large is educated to the needs of the individual and the potential for integration into the community.
