Life’s for Living Inc. has always been committed to listening to the voices of the people we support. Until now, however, there has not been a formal way for clients to contribute to the management of the organisation.
In 2005 it was decided that the time had come to ask the people we support to have a say. The organisation had a very large number of people who wanted to be involved in the committee. The final group includes 6 group members, a Client Services Manager, the Research and Development Officer and 2 support workers. The aims of the committee are to provide a way of formalising client input, to comment on issues that are important to the people we support and to work on key client-related documents.
