Annual Report

Annual General Meetings

Life’s for Living constitution requires that the organisation hold an annual general meeting every year to report to its membership the significant events over the previous 12 months.

Any person can become a member of the organisation as long as they agree to the Life’s for Living Mission, Philosophy and principles. Membership fees are $1 for people on fixed incomes and $5 for everyone else. These fees are payable annually.

Members also have voting rights; to nominate board members and to vote for any changes to the constitution.

The Incorporations Act requires that this meeting be held no later than five months after the end of the financial year, which is for this organisation June 30th of each year. Life’s for Living generally holds its annual general meeting in September of each year.

The Act, as well as our funders, obliges Life’s for Living to also have its financial affairs audited by an accredited, external auditor. These financial reports are tabled at each and every annual general meeting.

Whether you choose to be a member or not, everyone is welcome to join us at this very entertaining and important event. An advertisement is placed in the Southern Times (Messenger Press) at the end of August each year.
